Celebrating the Victory of Good Over Evil
Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is one of the most significant festivals celebrated in India. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil and reminds us that truth, righteousness, and courage always triumph over negativity.
At SRS Global School, we believe that festivals are an integral part of education, helping students understand the richness of Indian culture, traditions, and values. Dussehra provides a wonderful opportunity for young minds to learn important life lessons through the inspiring story of Lord Rama and his victory over Ravana.
The Significance of Dussehra
Dussehra marks the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana, symbolizing the triumph of truth, justice, and righteousness. The festival also signifies the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura in many parts of India. These stories teach us that no matter how powerful evil may appear, goodness and truth ultimately prevail.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At SRS Global School, we encourage our students to look beyond the celebrations and understand the deeper message of Dussehra. The festival inspires students to develop qualities such as honesty, kindness, respect, discipline, courage, and compassion.
It also reminds us to conquer the evils within ourselves, including anger, jealousy, pride, and selfishness, and to become better human beings every day.
Spreading the Message of Goodness
Dussehra is a time to reflect on our actions, strengthen our values, and spread happiness among others. By embracing the teachings of this festival, students can learn to make positive choices, respect one another, and contribute to a peaceful and harmonious society.
As an institution committed to holistic education, SRS Global School strives to nurture responsible, confident, and value-driven individuals who carry the light of knowledge and goodness wherever they go.
A Message from SRS Global School
May the auspicious occasion of Dussehra fill every heart with hope, every mind with wisdom, and every life with happiness and prosperity. Let us celebrate the victory of good over evil by choosing truth over falsehood and kindness over hatred.
SRS Global School wishes everyone a very Happy and Prosperous Dussehra!
May goodness always triumph and positivity illuminate our lives.
